In today's episode, we are introducing you and your Google My Business Listing for Real Estate, which is hosted by Google. And you make a safe bet, bringing your business onto Google, Google my business and into Google maps. So let's talk about how you can use Google my business, when you are a real estate professional, who want to become the Rockstar in your community.
Many of you have already heard about Google my business listing and bringing your business to Google in form of Google my business listing.
That's where I want to get in a little bit more today because Google is the biggest search engine out there followed by YouTube. But also YouTube is owned by Google. And having these in mind, Google is the biggest search engine optimization out there where you now can help Google with your Google my business. And you are using Google my business listing to get your business out in front of the world, where now people that are searching on Google for a solution to a problem they are having.
This is very important because you probably heard already, when you are using Google my business listing, now you will get higher quality leads. If you want to use it as a lead tool and you should. Because now people are organically attracted to you. Of course you can use Google ads to amplify everything a little bit, but when people are searching for a solution to a problem, and you are showing up on Google, now your business is seen as the expert they perceive you because you are on Google. And you know the saying what's on Google, that is true. Not literally, but that is the perception in people's mind.
And can you imagine if people finding your business on Google? They think you are the expert out there having the solution to the problems they are facing. Many realtors are not using the free Google my business listing tool, putting down goo, Google my business listing out there. So when you are at the forefront, you will have more time to build out your business, true ranking and build for the keywords.
And the earlier you jump on, the more advantage you are having before your competition. So in my opinion, Google my business listing has several good opportunities for you. And it just needs some time in the beginning where you set up your Google, my business listing, you claim it, you optimize it for the keywords, but also people can give you reviews on Google.
And as you know, even when I'm searching for something, I go to Google and watch the reviews. I'm assuming you do the same thing. And probably you too, you are searching the reviews. You are looking the reviews and your consumer will do the same. You probably will say, but Annett, I am working on referrals. Believe me, even your referral clients will go to Google and look you up.
If you are the expert, if you have reviews, how it was working with you. So they want to make sure they make the right decision to working with you. So Realtors should have reviews under Google my business, the more reviews, the higher the review rate, the better for you because now Google will give you traffic to your Google My business listing.
When people are searching for a real estate business or for help to a solution, you are optimized for Google My business is also easy to maintain. When you have set up your profile, your Google my business profile, which is very easy. You go to Google and you go to business.google.com and then you claim your business.
If it is already there, they will show you if it is already there or you are creating your new business. And now follow the steps. Google is giving you to setting up your Google, my business listing. Once it is set up and optimized. Now you are only working on a weekly consistent updating your Google, my business, where you are giving Google more information, consistent information about your business.
Through photos, through postings, through different events, you are having to updates in your community. So Google gives you different optimizations so that you can keep Google updated consistently, at least once a week, you also can use local maps. Now, when you are out and about now, you shoot photos. Google will automatically tag those photos because it realize or can see where you are and the tag on your photo.
And now your photos show up where you took the photos, putting your Google my business to your photos, into the eyes of your consumer. So local maps are important. And also you want to optimize your photos with search keywords that people are putting into the Google search engine. And now through the photos, you also are able to will be found through searches and there'll be displayed by Google for the keywords you want to rank for.
So you use my Google my business listing. You choose your location, where you are, and now you are able to create eight different keywords. You want to rank for the keywords, help you to the organic search, to the organic optimization, because you don't want to spend money all over.
If you figured out something, what works now, certainly you can amplify your a Google my business listings. You can put Google ads into work when you want to put money behind it, which is not necessary. Then you are setting it up. But if you want to amplify and run, when you want to get found for certain keywords and provide services, prefer certain keywords, certainly you as well can do this. It is not that hot.
That it sounds like when you are already on social media, especially when you are using YouTube, then you are used to keywords and it nothing different on Google my business and keywords in your area, and as the community, the name of your community as real estate Realtor. So those are keywords you want to use consistently over and over again in consignment or inconsistency with your local area, so that you can be found for the city and as a real tool, as a real estate agent. And then you can work out more keywords you want to rank for and do it on a weekly and consistent basis. What will it do for you? You absolutely will rank for the keywords and now people that are searching for a solution. Now, those people are ready to work with you.
They already, they are already a step further. And especially when they are seeing you on Google, like I said before, now, they are seeing you as, as a laboratory, as somebody who has some thing to say, and they believe you more than then they see you on Google. Then they will find you on other social media platforms. So Google provides you absolutely more as an expert, a better reputation in your area. The more five star reviews you have, the more business you will create, and your reputation will get much, much better. You now show up and Google, your reputation will rise and people absolutely sink. When you are showing up on Google, you must be the, to go expert in your community, in your area.
Again, you want to stay hyper-local in your area. If you followed me for a long time, you know, we are focusing on hyper-local servicing certain area, not being all over town, but being known for the community. You are choosing. You want to serve. Google works the same way. It even it's much, much more concentrated on local services.
They promote local service in the area you are in. So make sure that you are not spreading too far out there. You want to make sure that you are getting known as the local expert in your community. And then Google will amplify and send traffic your way when you are being consistent in your area with your name, with your phone number, with your websites.
So make sure that you are posting at least once a week. And those posts can be taken directly from other social media platforms. Make sure that you are getting all reviews in. So they are, it's not necessary. Any engagement required than an other platform. It is just to show Google that your business is active. And now you are also having the ability to include links to Google maps and posts in your Google maps, the picture so that you can spread out in your community and get the local expert. So Google my business absolutely is a platform. When you are a real estate agent where you want to show up, you need to optimize it a little bit more for your platform or for your Google, my business. But now you are able to multiply your existence into Google.
